The goal of the Center for Public Policy and Law (CPPL) is to promote the study of areas which are relevant to the rights of the people and social welfare. Legislation and administrative regulations cannot be enforced effectively without appropriate planning and evaluation. CPPL as a platform which has organized interdisciplinary research teams with experts of various disciplines puts efforts on playing the role of a think tank in order to enhance policy-making quality.
At present, CPPL consists of five sections as follows: Laws, Constitution & Public Governance, Economics & Technology, Social Development & Welfare, and Cross-Strait Relations. The Funds will be allocated on the projects for the most crucial public policy issues. Those projects will be discussed through research projects, public hearings, forums and conferences. The achievements of all these studies will be referred to the government for reference.
